Malfunction: BC horn triggers alarm for no apparent reason

Possible symptoms:
BC horn triggers alarm for no apparent reason.

Possible cause:
Antitheft horn defective; wire from BC to antitheft horn defective.

Troubleshooting:
Check front lid and radio contact in accordance with status monitoring.

If contacts OK., check wires from the contacts to BC and repair if necessary (from white BC connector Pin 2 to front lid and radio contact).

If defect not rectified, check wire from BC to antitheft horn and repair if necessary.

If wire OK., check antitheft horn and repair if necessary.

Note: If the defect has still not been rectified and a DWA system is installed in the vehicle, the defect may also be in the area of the antitheft system. In this case, continue with diagnostic program/test procedure DWA (6575.1)
