Trouble Code 1 (P/N Shift-Lock Solenoid)
LIFTING SOLENOID P/N SHIFT-LOCKExplanation
The lifting solenoid P/N shift-lock is checked completely by the control unit during the initialization phase by temporarily activating it. The following defects can be detected during operation depending on the condition of the lifting solenoid:
- Active: Short to ground, plausibility (driver transistor defective)
- Passive: Short to positive, break
Effect of defect
Mechanical emergency program.
Possible cause
Wire or winding of the lifting solenoid defective, or driver transistor defective.
Troubleshooting
Activate component and measure signals. Ground is constantly applied at Pin 35, when active control unit switches positive (bat. volts) to Pin 1.
