Hard Start or No Start

FAULT TRACING CONDITIONS
Before fault tracing, ensure that:
^ No diagnostic trouble codes are present,
^ The engine cranks normally (starter motor operates), and
^ The engine is mechanically sound (valve timing, compression, etc.).

ENGINE WILL NOT START
^ Fuel Pump Fuse
^ Fuel Pump Relay; Fuel Pump Relay
^ Fuel System Ground
^ DME Main Relay
^ Fuel Pump; Fuel Pump
^ DME Control Unit

ENGINE WILL NOT START COLD
^ Coolant Temperature Sensor
^ Excessive Carbon on Intake Valves
^ Intake Air Leak

ENGINE WILL NOT START HOT
^ Fuel Pressure Regulator; Testing and Inspection
^ Air Mass Meter
^ Fuel Pump Check Valve; Testing and Inspection
^ Coolant Temperature Sensor
^ Loose Fuel System Ground
