LED and Microphone Installation

LED and microphone are mounted on knock out panel located on the center console in front of the gear shift selector handle.

1. See Figure 6. To remove the knock out panel for LED and microphone installation, pry out the multi information display (BC V or Multi Function Clock) from the dashboard and lift up the forward console panel containing the knock out panels. Select one of the knock out panels and push out from the underside.

2. See Figure 7. Locate and mark center of each hole to be drilled on knock out panel for LED and MIC mounting.

3. Drill an 8 mm (5/16") hole for the microphone installation. Drill a 5 mm (7/32") hole for LED installation.

4. See Figure 8. Install LED and MIC in knock out panel. Properly install LED wires into white plug housing (supplied in kit) so that wire color codes match those wire on the main alarm wiring harness. Use the foil tag on the LED wires as a guide reference.

NOTE:
Should either MIC or LED housing fit loosely into the drilled knock out panel holes, they can be secured in place with a carefully applied drop of "SUPER" glue (not supplied in kit) from the backside of the knockout panel.

5. Reinsert knockout blank into the console panel.

6. Route LED main harness wire from the glove compartment area (where alarm module will be located) through center console to LED in console panel. Connect LED main harness wire into LED plug.

7. Route microphone wire from console panel to glove compartment area (where alarm module will be located) and plug it into alarm module port marked "INPUT".

8. Reinstall console panel and multi information display module.
