Code 1 (Fuel Pump Relay)

FUEL PUMP (EKP) RELAY
Explanation
This trouble code is stored when a break or short occurs at:
- Relay for electrical fuel pump
- Wire from Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit Pin 1 to Fuel Pump Relay (EKP) relay
- Output stage in the DME control unit

Troubleshooting
- The Fuel Pump Relay (EKP) relay must switch on from starting speed - check with test lamp 12 V/10 W at terminal 85/86.
- Proceed with displayed scan tool diagnostic instructions if applicable.
