Procedure 2

Replace transmission mounts and body brace.





Remove side heat shields. Disconnect oxygen sensor bracket from cross brace.

Support the transmission.





Loosen and lower transmission mount bracket.





Remove rubber mounts from bracket and install new mounts.





Note position of locating tabs on mounts.

Reinstall transmission mount bracket and heat shields.





Remove body cross brace and bracket from bell housing, and discard. The brace being removed is mounted in the rear body mounting holes (2), and the new brace will be mounted in the forward holes (1).





Install new cross brace in forward mounting holes (1), using new bolts supplied in parts kit.

Tighten to 58 Nm.

Use the original bolts to close off the rear mounting holes (2).
