Code 3 (Fuel Injector CYL. 1)

INJECTOR VALVE CYL. 1
Explanation
This trouble code is stored when a break or short occurs at:
- Injector valve cyl. 1
- Wire from Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit Pin 3 to injector valve
- Output stage in the DME control unit

NOTE: The trouble code 6 can be additionally stored if a cylinder cannot be assigned when the defect occurs temporarily. The trouble code 6 can be ignored in the case of injector valve defect with cylinder assignment.

Troubleshooting
- Perform component activation with tester. The activation cycle at a frequency of 10 Hz should be audible.
- Proceed with displayed scan tool diagnostic instructions if applicable.
