*D* Defect code memory: 2 Control unit reset:

Explanation: The control unit has performed a reset.

Possible cause: Battery was disconnected (maintenance/laying up/emergency disarm); voltage or ground supply of control unit defective; control unit has internal fault.

Troubleshooting: Clear defect code memory and check the voltage and ground supply of the control unit, repair if necessary:

From control unit 5-pin connector, Pin 2 to ground. If wire OK, check voltage supply and repair if necessary. From control unit 4-pin connector Pin 4 to terminal 30 and from control unit 5-pin connector Pin 3 to terminal 15.

If all wires are OK and this defect is no longer stored on renewed monitoring of the defect code, further troubleshooting is not necessary since there is no defect in the system.
