Defect Code 5:

*D* Defect code memory: 5 Lock signals infrared system:

Explanation: This defect code is stored when illogical lock signals are detected by the control unit while arming/disarming with the infrared system.

Possible cause: Microswitch defective; wires from the IR logic to control unit defective.

Troubleshooting: Check microswitches of driver's and passenger's door and repair if necessary. If defect is not rectified, check wires from IR logic to DWA
control unit and repair if necessary: From the IR logic to the control unit 26-pin connector black Pin 12 and 13.
