Defect Code 04:

A door is not locked, unlocked and/Or arrested:

Note: This defect may cause the central locking system (ZV) to unlock again immediately after locking or arresting (or lock again after unlocking). See functional description - Defect information.

Troubleshooting:

ZV with Blocking of ZV Motor Drives:

1. Front doors: Synchronize central locking system (ZV). Procedure: Close door. Turn door lock to right with vehicle key beyond hard pressure point.
2. Check ZV motor drive and renew if necessary. A defective ZV motor drive has a play of 1 - 2 mm also in the "arrested" position.
3. Check ZV system for mechanical defects and repair if necessary.
4. Check wires from defective ZV motor drive to ZKE relay module, and repair if necessary.
5. If wires and mechanics are OK., replace defective ZV motor drive.

ZV with Decoupling of ZV Motor Drives:

1. Check ZV system for mechanical defects and repair if necessary.
- Linkage detached?
- Turn catch lock defective?
- Locking cylinder defective?
2. Check wires from defective ZV motor drive to ZKE relay module and repair if necessary.
5. If wires and mechanics OK., replace defective ZV motor drive.
