*D* Defect code memory: 09 Tank sending unit failed:

Explanation: Wire to sending unit has a break or tank sending unit defective (break)

Troubleshooting:

- Check ground wire to tank sending unit.
- Check wire from connector 2 (blue) Pin 14 to tank sending unit.
- Check tank sending unit. For resistance values of sending unit refer to microfiche 'Technical Data".

The tank sending unit can be additionally checked in *D* Test procedure. The resistance value measured by the sensor is displayed, in this case, as a measuring bar. A corresponding text is displayed if a break or short occurs.
