*D* Defect code memory: 10 Temperature gauge defective:

Explanation: Wire to sender has a short to ground or temperature sensor overheated.

Troubleshooting:

- Check wire from connector 1 (yellow) Pin 4 to temperature sensor for a short to ground.
- Check temperature sensor. For resistance values of sensor, refer to micro-fiche "Technical Data".

The temperature sensor can also be checked in *D* Test procedure. The resistance values measured by the sensor are displayed as temperature ranges. A corresponding text is displayed if a break or short occurs.
