Defect Code 25:

On-board computer does not display the correct average consumption:

If differences occur between the consumption value displayed by the on-board computer and the actual consumption, the consumption must be calibrated. This
procedure is described in the following, the sequence of operating steps must be followed.

E34 5 Series and E32 7 Series apart from E34 Standard version:

1. Press the buttons 10 and 1000 simultaneously in order to access test mode. "TEST" appears in the BC display.

2. Enter number 20. This enables access to the consumption correction factor. "TE20" appears in the display.

3. Press SIR button. The previously stored correction factor appears in the display. Example: 1 00OCORR. The new value should be determined as follows.

(Correction value old) x (actual consumption/BC consumption) = New correction value.

- The actual consumption should be determined as usual at the petrol pump. The consumption calculated by the on-board computer as well as the determined
actual value must be determined on the same trip.

4. Press S/R. "CORR" no longer flashes. The new correction factor is now stored.

5. Press km/degrees centigrade or miles/degrees F button.

E34 5 Series, Standard version

In the E34 5 Series standard version, tank adjustment should be carried out within the test function 20.

1. Press the buttons 10 and 1000 simultaneously in order to enter test mode. "TEST" appears in the BC display.

2. Enter the number 20. This enables access to the consumption correction factor. "TE20" appears in the display.

3. Empty tank up to reserve level (reserve contact must be closed) and press S/R button; tank is adjusted.

4. Press km/degrees centigrade or miles/F button.
