Radiator: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Using pulley holding tool No. 11 5 030, or equivalent, remove engine cooling fan. Note: fan nut has a lefthand thread.
3. Remove engine splash guard and heat shields.
4. Drain coolant into a suitable container.
5. Remove upper air duct attaching bolts, then the duct.
6. Disconnect coolant level sender electrical connector.
7. Disconnect lower coolant, expansion and bleed hoses from radiator.
8. Lower vehicle and disconnect upper coolant hose.
9. Disconnect temperature switch electrical connector.
10. Remove radiator to core support attaching bolts.
11. Remove radiator from vehicle. Note: position of mounting cushions for installation reference.
12. Reverse procedure to install.
