Air Distribution

IHKR1 AIR DISTRIBUTION

- Air flow from the windshield and front door glass defroster outlets is controlled using a bowden cable that is connected to the control panel upper slide lever.
- Air flow from the instrument panel face-vent outlets is controlled using a bowden cable that is connected to the control panel middle slide lever.
- Air flow from the console rear outlet is controlled using the thumbwheel located to the left of the outlet. The thumbwheel operates a flap located just behind the outlet grille.

- Air flow from the footwell outlets and the underseat outlets is controlled using two stepper motors (left and right). The stepper motors are operated by the control module as a pair; in response to a voltage signal from a linear potentiometer inside the control panel. The potentiometer is connected to the button slide lever.
