Defect Codes 01 - 06

Defect Codes 01-06:

*D* Defect code memory: Pin contact defective:

Explanation: Two inputs are provided for each pin contact at the module. The command lock or unlock is performed only when different levels are applied at both inputs.

A defect code is stored if the same level (12 V or 0 V) is applied at both inputs.

Troubleshooting:

The pin contacts can be checked in *D* Test procedure (BMW MoDiC *D* Status monitoring).

Check in the case of fault:

Break displayed:

- Is B+ for pin contacts OK. (fuse, wire)?
- Has wire from pin contact to ZVM a break?
- Is pin contact in ZV motor drive OK.?

Short to B+ displayed:

- Has one of the wires from the pin contact to the ZVM a short to B+?

If display does not change:

- Is mechanical system OK. (linkage detached)?
- Is ZV motor drive OK. (check by means of *D* Test procedure, activate ZV motor drives)
- Is pin contact in ZV motor drive OK.?

Note: This defect code is also stored when the ZV motor drive does not reach the positions unlock or lock due to a mechanical fault.
