Code 41 (Air Mass Sensor)

AIR MASS METER (MAF)
Explanation
This trouble code is stored in the case of a break or short at:
- Air mass meter or its supply wires
- Voltage supply to air mass meter

NOTE: The Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit then operates with substitute values which are calculated from the position of the throttle potentiometer.

Troubleshooting
- Check signal by means of status monitoring.
- Proceed with displayed scan tool diagnostic instructions where applicable.

The DME main relay supplies the Air Mass Sensor (MAF) with 12 V at terminal 3 (+) and 1 (-).
