Removing Coolant Manifold

REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING COOLANT MANIFOLD

- Remove intake air manifold, Removing Intake Manifold
- Remove splash guard.

- Drain off coolant and dispose of correctly.

Installation Note:
- Top up coolant.
- Bleed cooling system and check for leaks.
Loosen vent screw on expansion tank 2 ... 3 complete turns.
Any air remaining in the system escapes and the fluid level in the expansion tank falls. Unfasten cap on expansion tank




- Unfasten plug connection:
(1) Temperature sensor for remote thermometer (black)
(2) Temperature sensor for control unit on digital engine electrics (white)
- Unfasten beside engine mount (4) behind shared ground wire on ignition coils (3).
- To improve access to coolant manifold, remove water valve.




- Remove all coolant hoses from coolant manifold.




- Unfasten left and right screw connection on coolant manifold.

Installation Note: Clean sealing faces and replace gaskets and seals.
