Code 48 (A/C Compressor Cut-Out)

AC COMPRESSOR CUT-OUT
Explanation
This trouble code is stored in the case of a short to positive or negative.
- In the case of a short to positive, the A/C compressor is not switched off at a speed below 5 mph (8 km/h) when accelerating with full load.
- The A/C compressor never operates in the case of a short to negative.

Troubleshooting
- Check wires to A/C compressor cut-out relay.
- Check A/C cut-out relay.
- Proceed with displayed scan tool diagnostic instructions where applicable.
