Trouble Code 23 (Ignition Timing [Angle] Intervention)

IGNITION TIMING (ANGLE) INTERVENTION
Explanation
This defect code is stored when the wire from the control unit Pin 24 has a break or is applied to ground for longer than 3 sec. It can also be set when the wires to the program switch Pin 4, 14 or 15 have a short to U-Ban.

Effect of defect
Mechanical emergency program

Possible cause
Wire defective.

Troubleshooting
Follow displayed scan tool instructions and observe status monitoring of the program switch. If display is incorrect, check wires from Pin 4. 14 and 15 in accordance with schematic for a short or break.
