Code 6 (Incorrect Setting of Pedal Position Sensor Limit Stop)

INCORRECT SETTING OF PEDAL POSITION SENSOR LIMIT
Explanation
This defect code is stored when the pedal position sensor limit stop is set above approx. 4.5 V.


NOTE: The pedal position sensor limit stop must be set as described in the Repair Instructions.

Troubleshooting
- Fully depress accelerator pedal (over the kick-down point for automatic transmission) and compare the Pedal Value Sender (PWG) potentiometer value (status monitoring) with nominal values.

- Proceed with other displayed scan tool diagnostic instructions where applicable.
