Code 41 (Air Mass Sensor)

AIR MASS METER (MAF)
Explanation
This trouble code is stored in the case of a break or short at:

- Air mass meter or its supply wires

- Voltage supply to air mass meter

NOTE: The Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit then operates with substitute values which are calculated from the position of the throttle potentiometer.

Troubleshooting
- Check the load signal by means of status monitoring.
The nominal value is 1.8 to 2.2 ms when the battery is charged, air conditioning switched "Off" and the gear selector lever in position P or N.
- Proceed with displayed scan tool diagnostic instructions where applicable.
