Ignition Cable: Description and Operation

Spark Plug Wire Location:

PURPOSE
The ignition leads conduct high energy within the secondary ignition system.

CONSTRUCTION
The ignition leads consist of a braided steel wire conductor, a 1K ohm resistor at the coil end and 5K ohm resistor at the spark plug end. Each lead is coated with a thick, high resistance silicone insulation.
