Panel For Cover On, Side Member

Removing and Installing or Replacing Panel For Cover On Left or Right Side Member


NOTE: Grommets and clips must be softened in a water bath for some time prior to installation.







Lift out rear expansion rivets.







Lift out bottom expansion rivets.
Remove panel.







Pull off sealing tape.

Installation note:
Paste new sealing tape on panel.

Installation note:
When replacing a side member, the holes must be drilled prior to painting.
Align the drilling hole template to equal distance at front and rear edge and paste along the edge.
Punch mark centers, drill 9 mm dia. holes, deburr and coat edges of holes with zinc dust paint.
Pull off drilling hole template.







Install new grommets and clips in side member.







Clip on and align trim panel, and mark locations of 5.0 mm dia. holes at rear.







Mark locations of 6.5 mm dia. holes at bottom.
Unclip trim panel.
Lift out and place clips in a water bath.
Punch mark centers, drill holes, deburr and coat edges of holes with zinc dust paint.
