EML Systems
On vehicles equipped with Electronic Throttle Regulation (EML), the traction control module interfaces with the EML control module for throttle valve (DK motors) regulation. Based on signals received from the traction control module, the EML control module will reduce or close the throttle opening for power reduction. Once traction or stability is restored, the traction control module will signal the EML to open the throttle valves to the desired angle base on the driver's request. If slip reoccurs or is still present, the throttle valves will again be closed until traction is restored.
On decel, if the traction control module detects instability due to drag torque, the EML control module will be signaled to open the throttle valves slightly to reduce the engine braking effect.
The EML control module sends a signal back to the traction control module indicating that the requested action has been carried out.
