Trouble Code 40 (Engine Intervention)

ENGINE INTERVENTION
Explanation
This defect code is stored when the wire from the control unit Pin 40 has a break or is connected to ground for longer than 3 seconds. If the wire is connected to ground, this defect code will also be stored in the Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit.

Substitute Program
Fault indication, - maximum pressure, - emergency operation.

Possible Cause
Wire defective.

Troubleshooting
Perform component activation. Measure signal in accordance with text on the display screen.
