Replacing Selector Shaft Seal

REPLACING RADIAL SEAL ON SELECTOR SHAFT

- Unflange propeller shaft from transmission and tie up to one side, Service and Repair




Installation:
- After completing work, check transmission oil level and top up if necessary.

- Remove filler plug (2), pour in transmission oil until overflowing and then reinstall plug (2).
- Tightening Torque: 50Nm




- Lever snap ring (1) with a small screwdriver out of groove and push towards rear.
- Drive out cylindrical pin (2).




- Pry out radial sealing ring (3) with a narrow screwdriver.




- Lubricate sealing lip of radial seal ring with oil.
- Drive in radial seal flush with special tool 23 1 240.
