Defect Code 14:

*D* Defect code memory: Crash sensor or wire to ZVM defective:

Explanation: This detect code is stored when the crash sensor switches ground for longer than 5 seconds.

Troubleshooting:

- Check crash sensor for continuity. When installed in position, the crash sensor should only have continuity under the effects of impact. Replace sensor if defective.
- Check wire to the ZVM, 26-pin connector Pin 14 for a short to ground.
