Backrest



Removing and Installing / Replacing Backrest (Electric)

- Remove rear headrest.

- Move backrest adjustment back as far as possible.

- Remove side section of backrest.




- Open box (1) for first aid kit. Remove inside (2) and outside (3) necks.




- Pull back panel upwards and unclip (3 retaining points)

Note: If the drive for backrest adjustment is defective and the seat is fully forward, it is difficult to remove the panel (possibility of damage cannot be excluded).

- Adjust backrest to maximum forwards position.

- Remove seatbelt band and seatbelt finisher.




- Remove hoses (1) and (2) from the hose connectors.

Note: If no hose connectors are fitted to the hoses:
Unfasten nut. Lift control unit for lumbar support and remove hoses (1) and (2).




- Unfasten nuts (1).
Tightening torque: 8Nm

- Disconnect connector (2) (seat heating) and (3) (actuator drive). Unlock connector (3) and remove from holder.




- Lift rear seat backrest upwards to remove.

Installation:
- Attach locating pin to seat in brackets or body.
- Carry out operational check.
