Removing and Installing / Replacing Expansion Valve (Air Conditioner Control)

Air conditioner drained. Refer To Evacuating And Charging. Evacuating and Charging Air Conditioner (R-134A)




Lever clips off manifold cover. Unfasten screws and remove cover together with acoustic insulation.




Unfasten both pipes (2) on the front panel.
Remove glove box. Service and Repair




Unfasten screws and pull side carpet forwards.




Unfasten screws, remove right front glovebox trim and remove plug from gong.




Unfasten screws, fold top glovebox trim upwards, remove plug from switch and light and remove trim panel.




Remove expanding rivet, pull out plug and remove trim panel. Unclip footwell ventilation duct.




Remove wiring harness from bracket.




Unfasten screws and lever out cover.




Unfasten screws, pull back pipes and remove expansion valve.




Installation:
Replace 0-rings.
