Removing and Installing Battery

Safety instructions for handling vehicle battery. Service Precautions



CAUTION!
First disconnect negative lead and then positive lead (danger of shorting).







Open flap in side section at rear right.
Release locking screw (1) and remove battery negative terminal by moving back and forth.







Open positive terminal cover.







Release locking screw (1) and remove battery positive terminal by moving back and forth.

Installation:
Connect up the battery in reverse sequence. First disconnect positive lead and then negative lead.







Release screw (1) and remove battery holder (2).







Slide battery to rear end wall and detach ventilation hose (1).
Lift out battery.
