Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

Replacing idle speed control valve (M43 from 9/95, M43TU, M44)


Turn off ignition.







Disconnect plug connection (1).







Detach hose from vacuum connection (2).
Release screws (3) and remove idle speed controller.
Check sealing face and seal of idle speed control valve for damage. Clean sealing face and if necessary replace seal.







Installation:
Clip supply line of idle speed control valve into retainer (1) on intake hose.
Read out fault memory of control module of Digital Motor Electronics (DME), check stored fault messages, rectify faults, cancel fault memory.
