ZKE IV Expanded Functions
Console Mounted Central Locking Button
Console Mounted Central Locking Button:
The 328 is equipped with a new central locking button. The central locking input to the GM provides single locking of the doors and trunk. The fuel filler flap remains unlocked for refueling purposes.
The central locking feature can also be activated by the door lock buttons located on the top edge of the door panel.
If a front door is opened from the inside while centrally locked, the remaining doors will unlock.
Trunk Lock Inputs
Trunk Lock Inputs:
The trunk lock switch inputs to the GM have been expanded to provide complete vehicle unlocking.
The vehicle double locking input from the trunk lock switch remains unchanged. Turning the key to the right signals the GM to activate all lock actuators to double lock. Additionally, the trunk lock switch input for complete vehicle unlocking has been added. Previously, when opening a locked trunk with the key, only the trunk would be manually unlocked.
Sunroof With One Touch Opening And Comfort Closing
Sunroof With One Touch Opening And Comfort Closing:
The 328i sunroof motor and control system have been revised. The sunroof motor now incorporates a sunroof module. Inputs from the sunroof switch are provided to the sunroof module for opening, closing and vent positioning.
The sunroof module detects the digital inputs from the switch as requests to open or close the sunroof.
The sunroof panel can now be automatically opened (one touch) by momentarily pressing the sunroof switch in the opening direction to the second detent position.
The inclusion of the sunroof in the comfort closing feature is now possible via a ground signal from the GM. When the GM receives the comfort close signal from the door lock locations, it pulls a standing voltage low to initiate sunroof closure if open.
