51 49 000 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Trim For Trunk Lid

Open trunk lid.







Lift out cover caps (1) and unfasten screws.
Open tool box, lift out catch band and lift tool box upwards to remove.







Version with automatic tailgate actuation:
Lever out cover cap (1) unfasten screw and lift out handle shell.
Press out switch toward outside through grip recess plate opening and disconnect plug connector.
Lift out cover frame for switch and remove.







Lift out trunk light.
Lift out cover cap (1) unfasten screw and lift out handle shell.
Lift out expanding rivets (2) and lift out finisher for trunk lid lock.
Unclip trim all round and remove.







Installation:
If necessary, replace damaged clips.
