Adjusting Rear Axle (With KDS)
Adjusting rear axle (with KDS) sedan coupe, convertible, touring
A change in camber also means a change in toe; this means that camber must be adjusted first.
Adjusting camber:
Loosen nut about 1/2 turn. Turning eccentric screw an adjusting camber to nominal value, refer to Specifications.
Installation:
The eccentric washer must be located between the support cams.
Tighten in empty weight or normal position: torque to 110 Nm.
Adjusting toe:
Release bolts approx. 1 1/2 turns on bearing support. Apply special tool 32 3 080 on bolt head between stops (1). Turn special tool and adjust toe of left or right wheel to specified value.
Installation:
Tightening Torque: 77 Nm.
Bearing support with pin or notch:
Attach special tool 32 3 030 to bolt head and pin/notch (1). Work step, see above.
