New Child Seat Warning Labels

Two slightly different labels are available (refer to illustrations): one type for all models except Z3; the other only for the Z3.

All models except Z3

Z3 only

Apply the self - adhesive warning label onto each side of the vehicle, either to the front most section of the door panel or to the passenger side "B - pillar" (door post) as shown. Apply the labels with the vehicle at room temperature, making sure that the surfaces are dry and free of dirt.

We encourage all Service Advisors to address customers of affected vehicles who may carry young children, whenever these customers visit your dealership. You should take the time to point out BMW's policy on the subject, and offer to apply the applicable new warning labels in the specified locations. Also, you should offer to provide and explain the Safety Tips reference card. Furthermore, you should offer to relocate the child seat to conform with BMW's recommendations, if needed.
