Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve: Service and Repair

Caution: Follow general instructions, refer to Brakes and Traction Control, Description and Operation. Before starting work, press brake pedal several times in order to reduce vacuum pressure in brake booster. This makes it easier to detach the vacuum hose.

Remove left microfilter for interior ventilation, refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.





Open hose clips (1 - 2) and pull off vacuum hoses.

Installation:
Replace hose clips.





Unfasten detents (4 pieces) and pull off upper section of separating wall seal upward.

Installation:
Ensure proper locking of retaining hooks.





Pull non-return valve (1) with rubber seal (2) upward out of lower section of separating wall seal.

Installation:
Ensure that rubber gasket is correctly seated.
