Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

- Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit. Switch off ignition.




- Unfasten hose clip (1).
- Open clips (2).
- Disconnect plug-in connection (3).
- Remove air-mass sensor.




Installation Note: Check gasket (1) between mass air flow sensor and upper section of air filter for damage and replace if necessary. To facilitate assembly, coat gasket with acid-free grease.

- Interrogate fault memory of DME-control unit, check faults stored in memory, rectify faults then cancel fault memory.
