Removing and Installing Replacement Transmission

Drain off automatic transmission fluid.

Recycling:
Catch and dispose of escaping transmission fluid.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.

Caution!
Before installing replacement transmission:
Always flush oil cooler with lines.

Remove and install transmission.

Note: Automatic transmission is supplied filled with oil.

Note: After completion of work, check transmission oil level.

Caution!
Use only the approved automatic transmission fluid in this automatic transmission.
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission.





Convert transportation lock (1).
Transmission identification, refer to number on nameplate.





Convert lever (2) and retaining bracket (3).
Convert rubber mounts and exhaust suspension.





Convert oil filter pipes.
Release Screws





Withdraw oil filter pipe from housing

Installation
Check sealing plug (4), replace if necassary.
