51 45 050 Removing And Installing Trim For Upper Section Of Instrument Panel

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove both panels for front roof pillar.
- Remove trim for instrument panel (lower section).
- Remove complete instrument carrier.
- Remove passenger airbag.







Release screws (1).







Disconnect Bowden cable (1) for temperature-controlled ventilation.







Lift off cap (1) and unfasten screw.
Unfasten screws and remove left oddments tray.







Unclip rubber gaiter for steering column.







Release screws (1).







Lift trim for upper section of instrument panel upwards and remove through passenger door.







Version up to 09/97:

Installation: Left/right plastic guides (1) and center (2) must be installed.







Version from 09/97:

Note: Plastic guides are not installed with newer mountings (1 and 2).
