Removing and Installing Rear Heater/Air Conditioning

Remove storage shelf, rear and front

Draw off air conditioning,








The front and rear air conditioning systems are separated in the refrigerant circuit by two shut-off valves. These valves are closed when the system is de-energized. They must therefore be opened by means of the DIS Tester during the drawing-off procedure.
To do so, connect DIS Tester to car and select Evacuation of air conditioning under Service functions.







Disconnect water hoses (1).







CAUTION!
Place a suitable container and cleaning cloth underneath pipes and catch emerging coolant.


Release union nuts (2) and pull coolant pipes apart.

Installation:
Replace O-rings.







Release screws (3) and pull pipes apart.

Installation:
Replace O-rings.







Unfasten plug connection (1).







Release screws (1) on left and right, raise air conditioning system a little and lift out towards rear.
