Removing and Installing Idler Arm
Removing and installing idler arm
Unscrew and remove splash guard.
Unfasten nut and press off ball joint with special tool 32 1 190.
Installation:
Bore and tapered spigot free of grease.
Replace self-locking nut.
Brace on hexagon socket if necessary.
Tightening Torque, refer to Steering Specifications.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening Torque, refer to Steering Specifications.
1 Bolt
2 Idler arm
3/4 Self-locking nut
5 Front axle support
Caution! If the idler arm is replaced, adjust the pitman arm.
