Steering gear:
Steering gear could be damaged from impact forces if a vehicle is involved in an accident or operated in conditions similar to an accident. In the interests of safety, always comply with factory specifications, refer to Technical Service Bulletins.
Track rod joint:
For an evaluation of wear on ball joints, refer to Technical Service Bulletins.
Servotronic:
Troubleshooting on electronic components, refer to BMW Diagnosis Program (DIS).
Airbag:
Troubleshooting with BMW DIAGNOSIS program. Electric steering column adjustment: Troubleshooting on electronic components, refer to BMW diagnosis program.
Vehicle with Interlock-System:
If one component of the Interlock system was removed or installed or if the installation position of the Interlock cable is changed function check must be performed, refer to Removing and Installing/Replacing Interlock Cable.
