Final Drive

Removing and installing or replacing final drive
After completing operation, check oil level and, if necessary, top up final drive oil level.
Remove exhaust system.
Remove heat shield.
Remove propeller shaft from final drive.
Remove left and right output shafts and tie up, refer to Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints.





Support rear final drive with special tool 00 2 030 (workshop hoist) and special tool 33 4 390





Unscrew bolt (1).
Tightening Torque, refer to Differential, Specifications.

Caution: Note insertion direction of screw (1).





Unscrew left and right nuts.

Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts. Tightening Torque, refer to Differential, Specifications.
