Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

- Unfasten cover screws from E box.
- Remove cover.




- Lift up fuse (1) and remove connector (2). Unfasten retaining clips (3) and remove control unit.

Installation Note:
- Check code (1) and production date (2).




Relays in control unit for E box:
1. Fuel pump relay (orange)
2. DME main relay (white)
3. Lambda oxygen sensor heating (blue)

NOTE:
Sensor wheel adaptation must be carried out after replacing a DME control unit or increment wheel. If only the increment wheel is replaced, the sensor-wheel adaptation must first be deleted (disconnect control unit from power supply for 5 minutes) Sensor wheel adaptation is implemented automatically as soon as the engine is operated in overrun condition for at least 10 seconds. Adjustments -- Refer to Sensor-Wheel Adaptation.
