Section B: Defect Code 00 12 06 01 000
1. Defect code 00 12 06 01 00 is indicated on DCS.2. Remove the driver's side lower dash trim panel.
3. Remove the driver's side kick panel.
4. Remove the driver's side under dash trim panel.
5. Remove the passenger's side lower dash trim panel.
6. Remove the passenger side kick panel.
Remove the under dash trim panel.
7. The by-pass harness contains the following components:
(1). Wiring diagram
(2). Adaptor harness to EML module
(3). EML/PWG by-pass harness
(4). Wire ties
(5). Lubricant for harness installation
(6). Harness feeder tube
(7). Connector housing for PWG
(8). Connector for adaptor harness
(9). Connector lock
(10). Connector housing for adaptor harness
(11). Extra pins for connection to EML control module connector.
8. Disconnect the battery
9. Remove 3 control modules (EML (3), DME II (2), DME I (1)) and tie the connectors back.
NOTE:
Make certain that DME 1 and DME 2 are not switched during reassembly or the engine will not start until DME I and EWS are realigned.
10. Disconnect the main harness (1) from the PWG sensor (2) at X73.
11. Remove pins 10 - 12 from the old X73 and insert them into the new X73.

10 Blue/Red
11 Blue Violet
12 Blue Yellow
Tie the old wires and connector back.
12. Route the bypass harness (1) underneath the heater/ac housing into the passenger footwell area.
13. Insert the harness feeder tube (1) through the rubber grommet (2) located in the right hand corner of the firewall.
14. Route the harness underneath the passenger side area of the dash.
Remove the passenger footwell air duct.
Insert the harness (1) into the feeder tube until the heat shrink protective tube is no longer visible.
Apply the special lubricant to the portion of the harness that will eventually be pulled into the E-box. DO NOT PULL THE ENTIRE HARNESS INTO THE E-BOX.
15. Pull the harness feeder tube (1) along with the harness through the grommet.
NOTE:
DO NOT PULL THE HARNESS THROUGH THE FEEDER TUBE. THE FEEDER TUBE IS ONLY TO BE USED TO GET THE HARNESS THROUGH THE GROMMET.
16. Pull the a portion of the harness (1) into the Ebox.
17. Carefully remove the heat shrink tube from the end of the bypass harness and insert the wires into the black 10 pin connector as indicated below.
NOTE:
Each wire is identified with a number (1) corresponding to the pin location into which it must be inserted.
