Motorola Alternator

Replacing Carbon Brushes





- Remove alternator and voltage regulator.




- Unscrew screws (1 and 2) and take off carbon-brush holder.




- Carbon-brush holder is replaced completely.




Installation:
- Check slip rings for wear, disassembling alternator and fine grinding as well as polishing slip rings if necessary.
- Max. eccentricity for slip rings is 0.03 mm.
