Alternator: Service and Repair

Interrogate fault memory of control units. Switch off ignition.
Note instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery. Refer to Service Precautions. Vehicle Damage Warnings

- Disconnect battery ground wire and mask it.
- Remove intake filter housing.
- Remove fan coupling,
- Remove alternator drive belt.




- Remove vent hose.




- Unfasten plug connection (1).
- Take off cap on connections.
- Unfasten nut (2) and remove line.




- Release screws from alternator.
- Remove alternator.







Version with tensioning roller:
Follow installation instructions.







NOTE: Turning lock of tensioning roller must engage in groove of alternator.


NOTE: Dismantle alternator.
