Camshaft, Lifters and Push Rods: Adjustments

(re Checking Camshaft Timing)

Before carrying out adjustment work, the camshaft timing must be checked, refer to Testing And Inspection, Procedures.





Note: Timing case cover (1) must be removed when tightening down screw connection on sprocket wheel. The timing case cover (1) and the timing case (2) share a gasket (3) in the lower section. This must be replaced before reassembly. The timing case (2) must be removed before the gasket can be replaced.
