SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

WARNING: HIGH TENSION! - DANGER TO LIFE!

Always switch off ignition before working on ignition system.

Never touch components and current with engine running!

WARNING: HIGH TENSION! - DANGER TO LIFE!

- Always remove DME main relay for the compression test to avoid activation of ignition coils by ignition final stages of the DME control unit.

- The secondary side (high tension side) of the ignition system must be under load of at least 4 k ohms.

- The engine must not be started when the line is removed from the ignition coil (terminal 4).

- Do not connect any shielded capacitors and inspection lamps to terminal 1 on the ignition coil.

- Line on terminal 1 of ignition coil must not be connected to ground or to positive battery terminal.

When retro-fitting an alarm system, the line to terminal 1 must not be used for vehicle immobilization (start inhibit).

Breaker less ignition distribution

WARNING: HIGH TENSION! - DANGER TO LIFE!

- The engine must not be started without its secondary circuit connected, i.e. with spark plug connectors removed and ground connection (terminal 4a).

- There is dangerous high tension in or on:

- Ignition leads

- Spark-plug connectors

- Spark plugs

- Ignition coil, terminal 4.

CAUTION: High tension approx. 40 kV.

- Terminal 1 line from ignition coil to DME control unit.

CAUTION: High tension approx. 350 V an terminal 1.
